Happy 26 April Lesbian Visibility Day!

Lesbian Visibility Day has been celebrated since 2008, and has an important place for us, as Queer Cyprus Association. Lesbian defined as woman who has romantic and sexual attraction towards other women. As in many parts of the world, in the northern part of Cyprus the legal and social structure is ignoring the existence of lesbians, and lesbians seen as fantasy and being commodified.

Against all the judgements towards lesbians, we, as lesbian women, saying that “We existed, we exist, and we will exist” and we are celebrating the lesbian visibility day of all women who identify themselves as lesbian.
