Queer Cyprus Association Internship Program


What is Internship Program?

The internship program is an activity of the Diversity of Colour Project funded by the European Union under the “Cypriot Civil Society in Action VI” Grant Scheme and implemented by Queer Cyprus Association. This program is part of the LGBTI + struggle and includes interns who can contribute to Queer Cyprus’ organizations and have the desire to act with association employees, members and volunteers.

In the internship program, which has already been called twice, calls will continue to be issued at regular intervals until the end of the project. If you want to follow our calls, you can look at the vacancy and announcements section of our website.

The main roles expected from interns;

To support the employees of the association in office works, to take an active role in the activities of the projects, to take part in the organizations and fund development activities, to prepare news letters, to work in cooperation with communications officer in the website and social media broadcasting, to support the studies carried out on media monitoring and reporting.

Queer Cyprus is a civil society movement that started in 2008 with the name of “Initiative Against Homophobia” to change the discriminatory laws in the north of Cyprus and to create public opinion for the rights and freedoms of Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans and Intersex people. Queer Cyprus embraces diversity and wages a feminist, anti-militarist, ecologist and veganist struggle against all forms of oppression.
